Madison trades a draft pick for a defenseman
MADISON, WI - The Madison Capitols, a member of the United States Hockey League, traded their sixth-round pick in Phase I of the 2018 USHL Draft to the Fargo Force in exchange for defenseman Jacob Nordqvist, Madison General Manager and Head Coach Garrett Suter announced on Monday.
Nordqvist, 19, collected two goals and four assists for six points and six penalty minutes in 20 games with the Force this season. The 5-foot-9, 178-pound native of Gotheberg, Sweden, is committed to Lake Superior State University.
The Capitols will face-off against the Dubuque Fighting Saints for $1 Beer Night at 6:05 p.m. at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena on Thursday, January 18.
