Alumni Update: Reid Pabich

Today's alumni update focuses on former Capitols forward Reid Pabich. Pabich played with the Caps from 2017-20 and then again during the 2021-22 season. He is currently a freshman at the University of Maine playing for the Black Bears.

The Verona native laced his skates up for the Capitols AAA program in his youth before being drafted by the Caps during the 6th round of the 2017 Phase I Draft. Although he spent part of his first season in junior hockey at the AAA level, Pabich found his way into the Caps lineup 40 times during the 2017-18 season after making his debut in early December. The 40 games played ended up being the lowest in his five-year USHL career.

Pabich amassed over 250 games played from 2017-2022 playing in 206 regular season games with Madison. He spent the 2020-21 season with the Sioux Falls Stampede with the Capitols not hitting the ice that season due to the pandemic. Following his return to the Caps, Pabich found his best offensive season to date recording a career high 44 points.

In Pabich's final season with the Capitols in 2021-22, he helped the team make their way to the Clark Cup Final for the first time in franchise history. Pabich played in all 14 games in the playoff run for Madison recording eleven points along the way.

Following the historic run, Pabich made his way to the University of Maine. In his first season with the Black Bears, Pabich has record three points thus far playing in all fifteen of the school's games.
