The Capitols announced that the team has acquired Jack Brandt, a 2023 Phase II 1st Round Pick, a 2023 Phase II 2nd Round Pick, and future considerations in exchange for Quinn Finley from the Chicago Steel. A native of Columbus, Ohio, Jack Brandt was a pick for Des Moines during the 2020 USHL Futures Draft. He has recorded two points this season for the Steel in 20 games played.

Prior to joining the Steel, Brandt played at Tabor Academy located in Marion, Massachusetts. Brandt will wear number 24 with the Capitols.
