The Capitols are proud to announce the promotion of Juliette Makara to President of the organization.  

Makara has been with the Capitols since May of 2017 when she started as a Sales Intern for the team. Since then she has been promoted to Account Executive in August of 2017, Associate Sales Director in April of 2019, and, to her most recent title, Vice President of Sales in June of 2022.

"We believe in promotion, and this is the next step in Juliette's development," Capitols owner Ryan Suter said. "She has been a big part of the development of the franchise leading by example with professionalism and consistency."

The Arlington Heights, Illinois, native has been responsible for overseeing all sales including season tickets and group sales. Her role will expand to include overseeing day-to-day business operations, including scheduling, corporate and community partnerships, and communication with the USHL.

"Juliette has been an integral piece of the growth of the organization," said Andrew Joudrey. "We don't win the league's award for Organization of the Year in 2021-22 without her leading the way on the business and sales front."

Capitols outgoing president, Andrew Joudrey, is transitioning to a new role in management of Capitol Ice Arena and the DeForest Yards Arena Project. He will still continue to help grow the Capitols franchise along with Makara.
