Madison picked up the team's second overtime win this season on Saturday night in their 3-2 victory over Chicago. With the win, Madison notches their 20th of the season exactly one month prior to last season's 20th win on February 25th.
Colton Jamieson was the overtime hero for the Capitols picking up his seventh goal of the season. Jamieson sits in sixth among USHL defensemen in points this season, which included two points in the win.
The other scorers for the Capitols were
Gavin Uhlenkamp(6) and
Egor Barabanov(7). Uhlenkamp has scored in back-to-back games for Madison. Ten of Barabanov's 18 points this season have come against Chicago.
Caleb Heil stopped 19 of 21 shots sent his way in the victory collecting his fourth win over the past five games, including both this weekend. Heil will be a lead candidate for the league's Goalie of the Week award on Monday with a shutout on Friday and a sub two goals against average on Saturday.
The Capitols improve to 6-1-0-0 against Chicago on the season, the most in a season against the Steel in team history.
