The Madison Capitols saw their four-game winning streak come to an end Saturday night, falling 4-0 to the Lincoln Stars at the Ice Box.
Lincoln's Alex Pelletier scored all three of his team's first goals, including a penalty shot in the opening period and a power-play tally later in the frame. He completed the hat trick early in the third before assisting on Layne Loomer's goal just 31 seconds later to make it 4-0.
Cash Cruitt stopped 23 of 27 shots in the loss, marking his first defeat of the season. Madison's power play went 0-for-2, while the penalty kill allowed two goals on Lincoln's three chances.
With the loss, the Capitols move to 5-3-0-0 on the season. The Caps only play one game next weekend in Chicago on Saturday.
