Capitols Strike Twice in 13 Seconds to Beat Black Hawks

Madison improves to 4-2-0-0 on the season.

The Madison Capitols scored three unanswered goals to earn a 3–1 comeback win over the Waterloo Black Hawks. Waterloo opened the scoring late in the first period with a shorthanded goal from Chase Jette.

Madison responded in the second with two goals in 13 seconds, as Gavin Uhlenkamp tied the game before Ville Vaarala buried the go-ahead tally moments later.

Austin Moline sealed the victory with an empty-net goal late in the third. Caleb Heil stopped 21 of 22 shots in the win, as the Capitols outscored opponents 11–2 over their two-game weekend.
