To our fans, our partners, and the entire Madison Capitols community,
Today marks an exciting milestone in the story of our organization. We are proud to share that the Capitols will soon call a brand new, state-of-the-art arena home. It is designed to elevate the experience for our players, fans, and community for many years to come.
LEGACY20 Arena at DeForest Yards, our new 3,000-capacity arena, is just the beginning. Through our partnership with DeForest Yards, this move creates an entertainment destination unlike anything we have had before complete with dining options, live music, outdoor hockey, and an energized game day atmosphere. This investment strengthens our commitment to the future of junior hockey and reinforces that Madison is a premier destination for player development at the highest level.
As we look forward, it is equally important to honor where we have come from. Bob Suter's LEGACY20 Arena in Middleton has played a meaningful role in our journey. For seven seasons, it has been a place where players have grown, memories have been made, and our community has come together. When my dad helped build the arena in the late 1990s, his goal was simple. Provide opportunities for young hockey players and grow the game in the Madison area. That purpose remains the heart of everything we do.
With this transition, we are proud to continue supporting the Middleton community by increasing ice availability. This expansion allows us to carry my dad's mission forward, opening doors for more kids, families, and young athletes on both sides of the city.
As we enter our final USHL season in Middleton, we hope you will join us in celebrating all that this facility has meant while looking ahead to an exciting new chapter of LEGACY20 Arena at DeForest Yards.
Thank you for your support, your passion, and your belief in what we are building. None of this would be possible without you.
As my dad would say, "It's all about the kids."
