Long Has Career Night, Capitols Pick Up Dominant Win

Madison improves to 25-11-3-1 on the season.

After giving up one goal in the first period, Madison scored 8 unanswered Saturday night.

Bobby Cowan would get the scoring started for the Capitols, scoring just a few minutes after Green Bay's first goal.  The Capitols were relentless from that moment on, scoring two more in the first period, two more in the second, then three in the third.

The star of the show was forward Aiden Long, who picked up a career-high 5 points in a single game. This adds on to his three points from Friday against Green Bay, totaling eight on the weekend so far. Long now has 38 points, which is second on the team and top twenty in the league.

Gavin Uhlenkamp also had an impressive night, finishing with two goals and an assist, which is also a single game career-high points for him. Uhlenkamp has more than doubled his points from last season and added three more to his one assist against Green Bay on Friday.

Dexter Brooks had his first USHL goal Saturday night, tallying two points on the season so far.

The Capitols look to continue their streaks against Des Moines Sunday afternoon before heading into another three-in-three at home next weekend.
