The Madison Capitols took down the National Team Development Program U17s 10-4 Friday night, tying the second most goals scored in franchise history.
Madison led 1-0 after one period with a goal from
Diego Johnson on the power play. In the second period, Madison exploded offensively.
Jet Kwajah,
Aiden Long,
Ryker Lee,
Egor Barabanov,
Finn Brink, and
Mason Moe all registered goals in the second period, and the U17s could not dig themselves out of the hole they dug, and the Capitols went on to win by six goals.
Lee finished with one goal and three assists on the night, which is tied for the most assists in a single game for him, and Lee is currently averaging 1.26 points per game, which puts him fourth among every USHL player and first among rookies.Â
This game is tied for the second most goals scored in a game for the Caps, with the only other higher-scoring game being against the U17s in November, when Madison scored 12 goals.
The Madison Capitols are now on a five game win streak and will face Fargo in a double-header at home Saturday and Sunday. Â
