Madison extended their win and point streaks on Sunday with a 4-1 win over the Fargo Force. The win completes the series sweep following a 5-2 win on Saturday night.

Caleb Heil stopped 23 of 24 shots sent his way by Fargo in the win. Heil started both games for the Capitols against their western conference opponent. The North Dakota commit in total stopped 53 or 56 shots in the pair of wins giving him a save percentage of .946 for the weekend.

Diego Johnson extended his goal streak to three games with his second period tally. In total, Diego was able to register six points in the three-game weekend for Madison bringing him to 29 points on the season.

The win shrinks the Capitols magic number to seven. If Madison collects seven more points this season or the teams outside of the playoff picture miss opportunities to collect seven points, the Capitols will clinch their playoff spot. Madison could clinch a playoff spot as early as next weekend.

Madison hosts the US National Team Development Program's U18 team on Friday to end the team's six-game home stand. The team then hits the road to Waterloo on Saturday to square off against the Black Hawks.
