The Capitols welcomed the top team in the Eastern Conference, Dubuque, on Saturday night. With a three-goal first period, Madison held on for a 4-3 win.
Finn Brink and
Ryker Lee scored to make it four-straight games with two goals for the top line. They each put up an assist in the win, as did their center,
Mason Moe.
Ronan Buckberger and
Drew Waterfield each scored in the win for the Capitols. For Buckberger, it was his first goal since November and his second of the season.
Drew Waterfield picked up his sixth goal of the season.
Madison improves to 23-11-3-1 on the season with
Caleb Heil picking up win number 14. Heil stopped 19 of 22 shots sent his way.
The Capitols play Green Bay on the road on Friday of next week followed by home games on Saturday and Sunday.
