A late power play goal from Richard Gallant led the USNTDP U18s to a 5-4 victory over Madison on Friday night.
The win for the U18s extended their win streak to eleven games, which includes wins in international play, division one NCAA games, and two games against Madison.
Madison had a late surge with goals from Finn Brink and Sam Kappell, who had two points in the game, in the third period to tie the game at four a side. Other goal scorers for the Caps in the game were Egor Barabanov and Bobby Cowan.
Ryker Lee picked up an assist in the game, which gave him his 56th point of the season. This puts the forward in sole possession of second place all time in Capitols Tier I history behind Austin Burnevik, 71 in 2023-24, for single season points.
The Capitols will have a chance to force a split with the U18s on Saturday before facing off against the U17s in a stand alone game on Sunday.
