After being down 2-0, the Madison Capitols came back and beat the Green Bay Gamblers in the first game of the Clark Cup playoffs Monday night.
Ian Scherzer started the scoring off for the Caps in the first period, and Sam Kappell added on, tying it 2-2 in the second period. Green Bay scored on a power play, but Madison answered back about 4 minutes later, with Mason Moe tying it back up again late in the second period.
Moe had the game winning goal just under five minutes into the third period, and Green Bay had no response, resulting in a 4-3 Capitols win.
Madison will face Green Bay again tomorrow night and will hope to play against Dubuque in the conference semifinals if they win.
