The Madison Capitols put on a show and beat the Green Bay Gamblers 5-3 Tuesday night, advancing to the conference semifinals.
Ryker Lee scored first for the Caps, Egor Barbanov scored less than two minutes later, and
Mason Moe closed out the period with a power play goal. That gave the Caps a three goal lead going into the second.
Sam Kappell added onto the lead before Green Bay scored three straight, but
Gavin Uhlenkamp closed out the game on an empty net. The Captiols took home the win 5-3.
Both
Colton Jamieson and
Ryker Lee finished with multiple points on the night, and Jamieson and
Mason Moe currently lead the USHL in postseason points.
Madison will travel to Dubuque Friday to face the number two seeded team in a best of five series. Game 3 and, if necessary, Game 4 will be played at home.
