The number one team in the Eastern Conference lost to the top team in the Western Conference in an overtime thriller Saturday. Madison played Lincoln Friday night but could not get the job done either time.
Ryker Lee got the scoring started for the Caps in the first period, adding to his historic rookie season. Lee currently has the second most points of any Caps player during the regular season and is just 6 points away from tying the all-time record.
Finn Brink picked up Madison's second goal in the second period and the Caps were down by one for most of the third period until under a minute left when
Jet Kwajah scored with an extra man, tying it 3-3 and forcing overtime.
The Caps held off Lincoln for almost half of overtime, but couldn't take home the win and lost 4-3.
Madison looks to bounce back Friday against Dubuque before their final regular season game next Saturday against Green Bay at home.
