The Chicago Steel were back at Bob Suter's LEGACY20 Arena on Sunday, after defeating the Capitols last night in a shootout. This game was the second of four consecutive meetings between the teams. 

The scoring got started late in the first period, when Chicago's Brady Kudrick registered a shorthanded goal to take the 1-0 lead into the first intermission. Kudrick would go on to score two more goals in the second period, completing the hat trick and giving his team a 3-0 lead heading into the final frame.

Madison was unable to answer Kudrick's goals, dropping this one 3-0 to the Steel. Veeti Louhivaara shut out the Capitols tonight, saving all 30 shots sent his way. Caleb Heil battled between the pipes for Madison. He padded away 20 of the 23 shots fired at him. With this win, Chicago completes the weekend sweep over Madison. The Steel and Capitols will meet again next weekend in a home-and-home series.
