The Madison Capitols were back at the Covelli Centre on Friday night to take on the Youngstown Phantoms. Madison was able to hold off Youngstown on Thursday night, courtesy of a Cash Cruitt shutout.
The Phantoms struck first in this one as Jesse Orlowsky recorded his third goal of the season. The Capitols later knotted it at one apiece courtesy of a John Stout power play goal. Youngstown would add two more goals to end the first period, taking the 3-1 lead into the first intermission.
Madison's Michael Tang scored the lone goal of the second period to shrink the Phantoms' lead to one. Caleb Heil would leave the Capitols' net late in the third to give Madison an extra skater, but they were unable to capitalize as Ryan Rucinski scored an empty net goal to secure the 4-2 win for Youngstown.
