The Capitols have earned five Clarky's nominations from the USHL for front office excellence. Two employees along with two promotions will find out if they win next week in St. Paul.
Drew Steele, Capitols' Vice President of Media & Fan Engagement, has been named a finalist for both Broadcaster of the Year and Sales Professional of the Year. Steele serves as the voice of the Capitols on game nights, but also as a sales representative for the team. Steele is the only person within the league to be named a finalist for two separate awards.
Jacob Thrush, Capitols' Director of Sales, has been named a finalist for Sales Rookie of the Year. After joining the team in December, Thrush hit the ground running and has contributed to the team's success off the ice during the second half of the year.
Along with the nominations for Steele and Thrush, D.C. Eagle was nominated for Mascot of the Year and Madison's Birds Aren't Real Night was nominated for Promotion of the Year.
The first ever Clarky Awards will be held at the USHL Summer Meetings next Thursday, June 18, in St. Paul, Minn.
