Madison Capitols

Drew Steele joined the Capitols as the team's Director of Media Relations in September of 2022. The native of Pine City, Minn., serves as the team's play-by-play broadcaster along with heading the team's social media, web, in-arena, and graphic efforts. Alongside his media role, Steele was promoted to lead the team's Inside Sales department. He works with schools, groups, and individuals on season tickets and group outings. 

Drew is a graduate of St. Cloud State University (Spring 2021) where he majored in Mass Communications with a focus in Creative Media Productions. Prior to joining the Capitols, he served as the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Corpus Christi IceRays(NAHL). His other previous experiences have included broadcasting the 2021 NCAA Frozen Four for KVSC in St. Cloud, shooting video for the NHL, running social channels for Barstool Sports, and broadcasting games for ESPN+, the Corpus Christi Hooks, and Q-Media Group.

Steele's role was expanded in the fall of 2024 to include a Hockey Operations role as the team's Analytic and Draft Advisor. He has been a key part of the draft process since the spring of 2023 and enters his second season officially part of the hockey operations staff.
