Jason Johnson

Johnson, certified CSCS, runs Gold Medal Performance, a 2000 square foot state of the art training facility, located at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena. Johnson currently trains the Madison Capitols USHL players, the Madison Capitols AAA program teams, and a host of individual athletes. He also works with the following professional and collegiate players, such as Ryan Suter (Minnesota Wild), Cole Hults (Los Angeles Kings), and Carson Bantle (Michigan Tech, drafted by Arizona Coyotes). 

Jason, a former player for the Madison Capitols AAA program, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Strength & Conditioning from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. While in school, he trained under the school's strength & conditioning coach working with a wide variety of athletes in multiple different sports. Jason then went on to intern at 'Train 4 Your Best' with Joe Tofferi (MS, CSCS, FAFS, FMR, CAFS, 3D MAPS), a highly respected Strength & Conditioning coach with over 20 years of experience, working with thousands of NCAA athletes, and professionals in the NBA, NFL, NHL & MLB. 

From his education at UW-Oshkosh and tutelage under Tofferi, Johnson adopted the philosophy of utilizing all three planes of motion in his training methods and they are at the core of his training methods. Jason's passion is to develop and strengthen athletes for optimal performance, while focusing on their individual needs and improvement areas.
