Andrew Joudrey

Andrew Joudrey joined the Madison Capitols as the team's president in August of 2017 following 10 years of professional hockey with the Columbus Blue Jackets (NHL), Springfield Falcons (AHL), Hershey Bears (AHL), and Mannheim Eagles (DEL). 

During his professional tenure, Joudrey served on the Professional Hockey Players Association (PHPA) for 7 years as a player representative, including 3 on the Executive Leadership committee. He was also involved in the negotiations and ratifications of the American Hockey League's collective bargaining agreement, completed in October of 2015.

In March of 2024, Joudrey transitioned to his current role of President and CEO of Legacy20. Andrew will manage the business operations for Legacy 20 Arena - Middleton, Legacy 20 Arena - Deforest, Deforest Yards Park and the Madison Capitols USHL team. Andrew will focus on collaborating with local business and community partners to add events, opportunities and programs to the entities listed above. He will work with the Madison Capitols staff to achieve strategic plans and increase organizational growth and development

The native of Bedford, Nova Scotia played college hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2003-2007. In his senior season, Joudrey was elected captain and was a National finalist for the Hockey Humanitarian Award.

The former center was drafted by the Washington Capitols in the eight round (249th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, and went on to win two Calder Cups with the Hershey Bears (2009, 2010). Joudrey also won the Bears' AHL Man of the Year in 2011 for his community efforts. He won the award a second time in 2014 with the Springfield Falcons. In the 2014-15 season, Joudrey won the DEL Championship with the Mannheim Eagles.

Joudrey graduated with a bachelor of science degree in Consumer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007.
