Acquired in an offseason trade with the Omaha Lancers, Cowan joins the Capitols ahead of his first full season of junior hockey... In 2023-24, he split his time between the Lancers and his high school, Edina... With Edina, Cowan was the second leading scorer on the team that went on to win the state championship... Played alongside Jackson Nevers at Edina HS... After his high school season, Cowan registered five points in eleven games with Omaha including scoring his first goal in the final game.
