The Madison Capitols have acquired
Andrew Kuzma from the Des Moines Buccaneers. Kuzma, a native of Naperville, Illinois, is currently in his second season in the USHL.
Head Coach and General Manager Corey Leivermann had the following to say about the acquisition:
"For us, it was something that we needed to fill. We needed a two-way center, and Andrew Kuzma presents that for our team. He's got a year of experience under his belt too playing last season for the Des Moines [Buccaneers]. I think he'll thrive in our system with our ability to make plays. skate, compete, and be able to play fast. Obviously, with what we were looking for to add to our center depth, we added that in Mr. Kuzma."
Kuzma played in 58 games last season for Des Moines registering three goals and three assists. He has played in five games this season and has yet to record his first point of the season.
In exchange for Kuzma, the Capitols sent Daniel Astapovich to Des Moines.
