Madison finished their road series with Youngstown on Saturday evening. Following a 4-2 win on Friday, the Capitols were trying to complete the sweep at the Covelli Centre of not just a two-game series but of all four games in Youngstown this season.

In the first period, Youngstown jumped out to an early lead that they did not look back on. Four goals in the first half of the period resulted in a goalie change for Madison early on. Youngstown added a pair of goals in the second and another pair in the third and sent Madison home splitting the series.

Madison moves to 9-23-1-1 on the season and still commanding the season series 4-2-0-0 against Youngstown. The Caps have a couple days to recover before kicking off a home-and-home series against Green Bay on Friday night. It's the first $1 Beer night of 2023.
