Capitols Fall 4-3 to Green Bay

Madison kicked off a home-and-home series with Green Bay on Friday night. A sell out crowd provided the atmosphere for the Caps at home as the team looked to provide on the ice as well.

Green Bay got off to a hot start with a power play goal early on, but Madison was quick to answer with a goal of their own. Will Felicio carried the puck from end to end, and when it popped off of his stick, Peter Cisar was there to answer. He slammed it home for his third of the season to even things at 1-1 heading into the first intermission.

In the second period, Green Bay was able to find the back of the net to take a 2-1 lead early. Madison responded with a goal of their own from the captain Nick Wallace. To this point in the game, the Caps had yet to find a lead. That remained the case until Oliver Flynn found twine for his first Madison goal. Green Bay found the tying tally to even things headed into intermission number two.

The third period brought Green Bay a 4-3 lead, which they held onto throughout bringing home a one-goal win. Madison falls to 9-24-1-1 on the season.The two teams go back at it tomorrow night in Green Bay. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
