Coming off of being named the league's forward of the week, Austin Burnevik kept the goals rolling on Wednesday night scoring in his third consecutive game. He now sits in a tie for the team lead in that category with Max Nagel with ten. He scored with just over ten minutes left as the Capitols comeback fell short in Green Bay with the team falling to 9-6-2-1 on the season.
Patrick's Berzins stopped 29 of 33 Green Bay shots on net in the loss, which is his third consecutive loss.
Scoring in the game for Madison also included Noah Barlage and James Hong. For Barlage, it was his first goal since the Capitols first game of the season in September. Hong became the first Capitol to score on his birthday this season.
Rainers Rullers collected multiple points in the second straight game. He now has four points over the last two games.
Madison heads into the weekend having only won one of their past six games. The Capitols face off against Muskegon on Friday and Saturday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:10 pm central time.
