In a game where Madison led with under four minutes left in regulation, the Capitols were only able to capture one of an available two points. Muskegon now moves into a tie with the Capitols for fourth place in the conference.
Shining brightly in the game was
Andrew Kuzma. He found a power play goal in the first period to tie the game and at even strength in the second to give his team the lead. For the Maine commit, these were goals seven and eight on the season and the first since the beginning of the month.
The game marks the fifth consecutive time where
Carsen Musser stopped 90% of opponent shots and did not pick up a win. The Minnesota native has four wins on the season but only two since September. Although the team has collected points in eight of ten of his starts, Musser only has four wins to his name.Â
Madison will have the chance to bounce back on Saturday night as they face the same Muskegon squad. The winning success against Muskegon had been to not allow them to get to five goals and you would win. Muskegon was 9-1-0-0 when scoring five this season, with their first win scoring less than five coming Friday.
Puck drop on Saturday is scheduled for 7:10 pm ET/6:10 pm CT with coverage being found on FloHockeyTV. Updates will be provided on the Capitols social media pages.
