Following the first win from the Capitols new leadership group on Saturday night, Madison hit the road on Sunday once again to face off against the Chicago Steel. The matchup with Chicago would be the final of ten between the two this season.
Chicago got off to a hot start in the first period pocketing two past the Capitols goaltender. They registered a trio more in the second, which was countered by a lone Capitols goal off the stick of
Andrew Kuzma. For Kuzma, the goal was his fourth of the weekend after finding the back of the net once on Friday and twice on Saturday.
The Steel added a pair of insurance goals in the third to skate away with a 7-1 win. Madison falls to 12-36-2-1 on the season.
The Caps return home this weekend to face off against the Youngstown Phantoms for a Friday & Saturday series. Friday it's a $1 Beer Night for the Caps, which will be followed by our annual Wiener Dog races on Saturday presented by Portillo's. Tickets for both games can be found on
