The Capitols are set to face off against the Green Bay Gamblers in a two-game series this weekend at home. Madison enters the weekend in fifth place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 15-8-4-2.

This weekend will be the fourth and fifth matchups between the two teams this season with Green Bay taking two of the first three. Green Bay took the only matchup at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena in November by a score of 5-3.

Two key contributors are expected to make their returns this weekend for their respective teams. For Madison, it's Rainers Rullers returning to the lineup for the first time in over a month after playing for Latvia at the World Junior Championships. The center has been a key contributor for Madison on both ends of the ice. He looks to slide back into his slot as the first line center for the squad. For Green Bay, their goaltender, Adam Gajan, also returns for the first time since December 9th after playing for Slovakia in the WJC.

Diego Johnson is also set to make his USHL debut this weekend after being elevated to Madison's active roster on Monday. The British Columbia native averaged just under a point per game this season with Sherwood Park in the AJHL prior to being added. Johnson is committed to play collegiate hockey at the University of Wisconsin and will wear number six with the team.

Madison will have a new logo on their line chart this weekend with Chris Delaney committing to UMass Lowell this week. Logos are placed next to a players name on the line chart each game to signify where an individual is committed to play at the NCAA level or has been drafted at the NHL level.

On Friday, it's the team's first annual Mitten Toss presented by Alliant Energy. After our first goal, fans are encouraged to throw mittens on the ice to donate to those in need this winter.
