Madison Capitols Drew Steele

Projected Lineup vs. Fargo I 1-19-24

The Capitols hit the road tonight to face off against the Fargo Force. Tonight's contest marks the first time since early December that the team's forward depth has all been in a position to be ready to play.

The line of Austin Burnevik, Chris Delaney, and Rainers Rullers is set to return together for the first time since November 11 vs. Des Moines, fifteen games ago. The trio lined up through the first nine games of the season before being split up for five games before returning for that game in Des Moines. While together this season, the trio has registered a total of 17 points in ten games.

The Capitols defensive unit stays the same as it has been over the past two games with Charlie Michaud partnering with captain Ethan Elias on the top pair once again. The two most common defensive pairings this season are back at it again with Noah Barlage and Jack Henry playing their nineteenth game together this season and Colton Jamieson and Nathan Tobey playing their eighteenth game together.

Patriks Berzins gets the start in game one of the series against Fargo after a weekend off last week due to the snowstorm cancelation last Friday night. He is 1-0-0-0 all time against Fargo defeating the Force last season as a member of the Tri-City Storm. He stopped 24 of 26 shots on goal that night.

Burnevik returns to the lineup after missing Saturday's game due to the 2024 Chipotle All-American Game, replacing Sam Kappell.

Below is a projected lineup for Friday's matchup against the Force.
