The game featured some standout performances, including Austin Burnevik extending his impressive goal streak to a league-leading eight games with a goal in the second period.

James Hong continued his stellar play, notching a point in the game and extending his point streak to an impressive twelve games, showcasing his consistent contribution to the team's offensive efforts. Hong's point came on Burnevik's second-period goal, highlighting the chemistry between these two key players.

The third period saw a determined effort from the Capitols, with Sam Rice managing to tie the game. However, despite the valiant effort, Sioux City secured the victory with a late third-period goal, leaving Madison with a narrow defeat.
