With a hat trick on Friday night, Andrew Kuzma breaks the franchise's Tier I career scoring record passing Broetzman & McCormick at 40. Kuzma now has 23 goals on the season and 43 total in his USHL career.
Madison has now won seven of their last eight games played. The Capitols moved within six points of fourth-placed Youngstown, which would mean a home series in the playoffs for Madison if they were able to pass the Phantoms.

Patriks Berzins stopped 26 of 28 shots that came his way on Friday in the win. He played in all three games against Waterloo this season going 2-1-0-0 with a .924 save percentage in those games.
Madison returns to play tomorrow night against the Des Moines Buccaneers who lost in Green Bay on Friday 5-1. The game will be the rubber match of the season series with the Bucs as each team has won once.
