Capitols Win Three Clarky Awards

The Madison Capitols are proud to announce that the team collected three Clarky Awards on Thursday in St. Paul.

Jacob Thrush won the league's first ever Sales Rookie of the Year award. Joining the team in December, Thrush hit the ground running helping lead the sales department to a successful second half of the season and made significant contributions to the organization despite his limited time with the team.

D.C. Eagle took home the league's Mascot of the Year title. This season, D.C. brought the energy and had some huge life moments from getting married in January to scoring a hat trick in the team's Mascot vs. Kids game in February.

Birds Aren't Real Night won the Promotion of the Year honor. When the team rebranded into the Surveillance Swans, it caught social media eyes from brands such as Barstool Sports, Bardown, and the Pat McAfee Show. The night became the team's largest jersey auction revenue driver of the season along with generating more revenue in merchandise than any other theme from throughout the season.

The only organization to win more awards during the ceremony held on Thursday in St. Paul, Minn., was Fargo with four wins. Other teams to win awards included Sioux Falls with two awards and Green Bay with one award.
