DEFOREST, Wisc. - Madison Capitols Capitols Head Coach and General Manager Andy Brandt today announced that the team has signed defenseman Logan Lutner to a Standard Player Development Agreement ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Lutner, 18 (2/21/08), collected fifteen points (5-10=15) and averaged during the 2026-27 season while playing with the U.S. National Team Development Program in Plymouth, Mich. Among his points, six came across his time in the USHL last season including one goal. In the World Under-18 Championships, Lutner picked up two points including one goal in five games.

Lutner was drafted by the Capitols in the first round of the USHL Phase II Draft in May with the eighth overall selection. 

The defenseman from Maple Grove, Minnesota, is committed to play college hockey at the University of Denver.
