DEFOREST, Wisc. - The Madison Capitols today announced that the team has signed defenseman Colin Yandle to a Standard Player Development Agreement ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Yandle, 16 (10/15/09), skated with Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Mass., during the 2025-26 season. In 33 games, the defenseman registered thirteen points including three goals. Yandle skated in two games as an affiliated player for the Capitols this season.

The defenseman is the nephew of longtime NHL defenseman Keith Yandle. His father, Brian, played college hockey at New Hampshire before playing several seasons of professional hockey.

Yandle was drafted by the Capitols in the ninth round of the USHL Phase I Draft in 2025 with the 131st overall selection.
