DEFOREST, Wisc. - The Madison Capitols today announced that the team has signed forward Bode McConnell to a Standard Player Development Agreement ahead of the 2026-27 season.

McConnell, 18 (8/3/08), helped lead Edina HS to the MSHSL State Hockey Tournament in Minnesota last season. He picked up 57 points including 36 goals in 31 games played. Following his high school season, McConnell joined the Capitols and played in a pair of games as an affiliated player. In two games, McConnell scored a goal and added an assist.

McConnell was drafted by the Capitols in the fifteenth round of the USHL Phase II Draft in 2025 with the 243rd overall selection.
