DEFOREST, Wisc. - The Madison Capitols today announced that the team has signed forward Gustavs Griva to a Standard Player Development Agreement ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Griva, 19 (6/8/07), tied for the team lead for the Capitols in points last season with 36 in just 49 games. His point total included thirteen goals. In 11 playoff games, Griva tallied two assists.

The native of Leimen, Germany, represented his country at the World Junior Championships in the Twin Cities this winter. He skated in three games at the tournament.

Griva was drafted by the Capitols in the third round of the USHL Phase II Draft in 2025 with the 41st overall selection.
