DEFOREST, Wisc. - The Madison Capitols today announced that the team has signed forward Eero Butella to a Standard Player Development Agreement ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Butella, 20 (2/21/06), was acquired by Madison in a trade in February from Fargo. The forward from Chicago, Illinois, registered five points in 14 games after joining the Capitols. In total, Butella picked up 21 points in 61 games played in 2025-26.

This will mark Butella's fourth season in the USHL after skating with Waterloo for one full season and then a full season with Fargo before splitting last season between Madison and Fargo. He registered a career high 31 points in 2024-25 with the Force.

In eleven playoff games, Butella scored two goals, including an overtime game winning goal against Youngstown, and added an assist.
