Two active Capitols and two players with ties to the organization were named to NHL Central Scouting's Midterm Rankings on Monday Night.
Caleb Pittsley and
Jet Kwajah were among 42 active USHL players to be named to the list.
After being selected in the 2025 Phase II Draft by Madison,
Caleb Pittsley now eyes another draft to be selected in this summer. Pittsley is ranked 146th in the Midterm Rankings by NHL Central Scouting. Through 32 games in his USHL career, the Augustana committed forward has fourteen points including three goals. Of his three goals, two have come in the past four games for the Capitols.
Jet Kwajah became just the second tendered player in the history after signing in March of 2024. Kwajah, now in his second season with Madison, has fourteen points in 29 games. He is just two points back of his rookie season total of sixteen, which earned him a spot on the All-USHL Rookie First Team in 2024-25. The Penn State committed defenseman has three points in four games since the calendar turned to 2026.
Along with Pittsley and Kwajah, Madison had one former player,
Egor Barabanov, named to the list and one affiliated player, Elliot Lennon. Barabanov, ranked 39th among North American skaters, played in 53 games with Madison during the 2024-25 season registering 38 points, which ranked eighth on the team. Lennon, ranked 28th among North American goaltenders, is currently playing with Deerfield Academy located in Massachusetts. He played in two games as an affiliated player this season going 1-1-0-0.
These players are eligible to be selected in the 2026 NHL Draft, which will be held in Buffalo, New York, at the KeyBank Center. The Capitols have had at least one player selected in each of the past six drafts including four straight drafts with multiple players being picked.
