Madison To Host Waterloo and Chicago
The Madison Capitols open a four-game home stand this weekend as they look to extend their three-game winning streak. They will host the Waterloo Black Hawks on Friday night and the Chicago Steel on Saturday and Sunday. Chicago will return to Madison next Friday as well.
This will be the fifth and final meeting between the Capitols and Black Hawks during the regular season. Madison controls the season series 3-1. The Capitols blanked the Black Hawks 3-0 in the teams' most recent meeting, while Waterloo shut out Madison 2-0 in the match up prior. The highest-scoring game in the season series has featured just four total goals. Waterloo owns the league's fourth-best penalty kill and sixth-best power play percentage.Â
The Chicago Steel will make their first trip to Madison this weekend. The Capitols have visited the Steel two times this season, splitting the pair. Saturday's game will be the first of four straight match ups between the two teams. The Steel sit one spot behind the Capitols in the Eastern Conference standings at seventh.
