Capitols Travel to Muskegon for a Two-Game Set
The Madison Capitols travel to Muskegon, Mich., this weekend to face the fourth-place Muskegon Lumberjacks. Muskegon sits six points ahead of sixth-place Madison in the Eastern Conference. The teams split a two-game series in November inside of Bob Suter's LEGACY20 Arena. The Lumberjacks enter the weekend on a two-game winning streak after sweeping Chicago, while Madison split a pair with the USNTDP U18 team last weekend. With six games remaining in the regular season, Madison aims to stay ahead of the Chicago Steel to secure a spot in the Clark Cup Playoffs.

McConnell and Yandle Make USHL Debuts
Bode McConnell and Colin Yandle made their USHL debuts last weekend. Yandle, a native of Dorchester, Mass., was acquired by Madison in the 2025 USHL Phase I Draft. Prior to his USHL debut, he appeared in 33 games for Cushing Academy this season, recording 10 assists and three goals.
McConnell, a native of Edina, Minn., was acquired by the Capitols in the 2025 USHL Phase II Draft. He skated in 31 games for Edina High School this season, recording 36 goals and 21 assists. McConnell netted his first USHL goal in Madison's win over the USNTDP last Saturday.
Capitols Find Power Play Spark
The Capitols scored five power-play goals over two games last weekend, including four in Saturday's contest. Eero Butella and Tyden Bergeson connected on the power play, with Bergeson assisting on both of Butella's goals. Butella has scored in four of his last five games and has recorded five points in eight games with Madison since being acquired from Fargo.
