The United States Hockey League announced on Monday that Capitols forward
Aiden Long has been named the Forward of the Week.
Long registered nine points over the weekend's games including a career high five points on Saturday night as part of Madison's 8-1 win over Green Bay. Included in the nine points for the Cornell commit are two short handed goals, which matches his career total prior to this weekend's games.
The forward out of Mono, Ontario, is in his second full season with the Caps after being selected in the 2023 Phase II Draft.
Long's linemates,
Sam Kappell and
Gavin Uhlenkamp, also had career weekends. Kappell was able to pick up five points on the weekend while tying a career high of three points on Sunday. Uhlenkamp registered seven points on the weekend registering a career high three points in both Saturday and Sunday's wins.
Madison now has had six different players be named players of the week in the league this season. Others to pick up weekly awards from the league this season are

Charlie Michaud.
